Spine - Nerve Relationship

Cervical

The cervical consists of C1 to C7 vertebrae, making up the neck area of the spine.   Areas of the body controlled by the nerves of this region include the inner and middle ear, eyes, nose, lips, mouth, vocal cord, neck muscles, shoulders and thyroid gland. 

Symptoms that may occur indicating a possible misalignment include headaches, chronic tiredness, dizziness, sinus trouble, earaches, hay fever, runny nose, throat condition, stiff neck, chronic cough and colds.

Thoracic

The thoracic consists of T1 to T12 vertebrae, making up the middle area of the spine.  Areas of the body controlled by the nerves of this region include the arms, hands, heart, lungs, gall bladder, liver, stomach, kidneys and small intestines.

Symptoms that may occur indicating a possible misalignment include breathing difficulties, bronchitis, poor circulation, stomach troubles, ulcers, lowered resistance, allergies, certain kinds of sterility, and kidney problems.

Lumbar

The lumbar consists of L1 to L5 vertebrae, making up the lower area of the spine.  Areas of the body controlled by the nerves of this region include the large intestines, appendix, abdomen, upper legs, sexual organs, uterus, bladder, sciatic nerve, lower legs, ankles and feet.

Symptoms that may occur indicating a possible misalignment include constipation, hernias, cramps, minor varicose veins, bladder troubles, knee pains, sciatica, infrequent urination, backaches, poor circulation in the legs, cold feet and leg cramps.

Solution

Chiropractic care can help to prevent or remedy many or all of the above by correcting the problem at its source.
